Agusta 109E Over Cortez Bank Big Waves

With its super fast speed and twin engine capability, the A109E was able to reach the Cortez Bank nearly 100 miles offshore from Long Beach, California and remain on station to observe these infamous big waves for over an hour before heading back to the mainland. Photo was shot from one of the support boats as world famous big wave surfers rode the ghost waves.
